He was tested because his wife presented as Positive, they were visiting family in Qld. Looking at the sites visited in NSW it looks like they drove straight up, with one or perhaps two overnight stops in NSW. Then overnight in Gundy, then through to Caloundra. Jeez Ian, by tomorrow they will probably be terrorists, the stories that social media have made up.

The chances of a variant that is not controlled by the vaccinations is about the same as the threat of a completely different virus emerging and causing havoc.

Completely agree that it will become endemic and that hiding under the sheets will not work in the long term.

Just heard on the 7 Snooze (ok we might be a tad slow here but we get there eventually....) the woman who took off from Mel. & travelled on her trip up through the Hinterland (ain't that very Queensland?) has tested positive. Forbes, Parkes & other towns inc the Gold Coast were mentioned.

Shooting is too good for that lot.

This is getting interesting, Des , talk about Chinese whispers......waiting for the usual suspects to start the conspiracy theories. The sites published by QLD and NSW health are;

Dubbo, Forbes , Gillenbah, Moree, Goondiwindi, Toowoomba, Moffat Beach , Kings Beach Caloundra.

The last three are on the Sunshine Coast, a long way from the Gold Coast. I can't wait for the real full story to come out, there are a lot of questions to be answered. But for the moment, I will not jump to conclusions, I'll leave that to the usual suspects .[wink11]
