Good summary of the key points. Quarantine & Vaccine remain the two failings causing the lockdowns.Originally Posted by DiscoMick;[URL="tel:3095109"
No Job Keeper now and with Jobseeker back below poverty line - both are a big disincentive to stay home. Emergency income support will help for some, but not if staying home means losing your job.
The underlying factor here that few are talking about is elitism, which sees the privileged expecting the under-privileged to live on nothing for the good of the country / state. This is actually the most unsustainable factor in Australia’s gilded cage approach. …for more than half the population the cage is not gilded.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

OK I have heard of the R thing which indicates how many people one person can infect. Today the NSW Premier said 26 people were out in the community for the duration of their infectious period, and 11 for part of their infectious period. Any one know how that may equate to new infections?

Yes most who do it, often with a smirk on their face, don’t know the word to describe what they’re doing; and worse they also think that the majority are patsies and don’t see straight through their attempted obfuscation.
(…Defender owners are immune, for example, due to the attempted obfuscation by Toyota owners - the spin, the smoke and mirrors, the smirking looks, the tactics of convenient wilful denial, the false egalitarianism (despite being twice as expensive for decades), the delusion of marketing over substance) …sound familiar?
WELL! ( stands with hands on hips) With you being older than me you naturally would be looking for someone else to blame & I don't even now own a '95 Discovery.
Survivor alright. 'er indoors looking for something in Google yesterday & discovered a link to the OCT 2020 death of the young bloke that started his Fridgie Apprenticeship the same time as I did at the same place & Bruce & I worked together for 11 or 12 years before he left & later got me a job at his new place for 14 years. He died at year 84 & in another coincidence, when I rocked up for my Nasho at Woodside in '56 the bed space I was allocated to was this bloke's from the intake before (2nd) while mine was the 3rd. Still had his ID card in the bedhead. That soon changed when I was allocated my own room.
Arse or the makings of a good RA Signals person????? The latter as it turned out.
That was an excellent move as now I could **** out of the window & not have to find my way up to the bog if I wanted a Nocturnal **** in the early hours through the Fog & Rain..

Daughter and partner as well as 9 month old grandson had to be tested today as one of them had to get essentials from Woolies across the road. Then later found out some infected individual had also been shopping at the same location (in Sutherland Shire).
Awaiting results with fingers crossed.![]()
