Sounds like everyone is doing the right thing which is great. I haven't left our place since the lockdown started here in Vic - I did a normal shop the morning the lockdown was announced and that's got us through but 8 days later I do need to go and get some stuff so will be heading out today but only doing what is needed and back home again. Basically Milk and wine and a few other things. For some reason I go through heaps more of these items when locked down and working from home.

Dont we know it on the other side of the range too!

one thing i dont understand, os why are 136 cases in nsw is a national emergency, but 700 odd cases in vic wasnt.

There is **** load of AstraZeneca Vaccine available if people would just go and get and stop being fussy , you only have to Google all the Meds that can cause blood clotting as a side effect along with long haul flights with all being expectable by people for use them as usually the risk of the side effects outweighs the problem they are made for .

But it is a personnel choice at the moment so the people waiting for Pfizer can wait not expect other States to hand over Vaccines .

I am trying to figure out if some journalists are stupid or devious.

Several times lately I have heard journalists pressuring politicians or health officials to nominate a level of vaccination that will offer herd immunity.

One possibility is that they don't realise that the herd immunity threshold varies according to how infectious the disease is. Maybe they don't know that the threshold for measles is 92%-95% and the threshold for diphtheria is 83%-86% and for ebola is 30%-60%.

The other possibility is that they are just being devious because they know that if the virus become more transmissible it will need a higher threshold and in the unlikely event that the virus becomes less contagious a lower level would suffice. Maybe they are just setting the official up for a "gotcha" moment when they can later accuse the official of lying or "backflipping" when they have to announce the revised figure.

There are good reasons to think that both explanations are possible.
