Here's proof that there's nothing new about coronaviruses - the first one was identified way back in 1966!

100% correct, not a good look at all. In fact, disgraceful, they obviously have 100% no respect for the safe environment in which they live relative to many other parts of the planet, or the efforts that so many have made to create same.

    Talk about rent-a-crowd.

A cautionary, carefull and controlled return to the new normal is needed.

Trust our medics and scientists and work together to fix this.

It is their sort of caper that could mean many more months of shutdowns, deaths. & jobs. It is time that Danny Boy got on top of this.

Jeez, I'm watching ch 642 at the moment, & the announcer is talking about a "Corona Free Environment By July"??...where do they get this CRAP from? At the moment i can't see anytime in the forseeable future when this will be even remotely the case.

We will NEVER have 'a corona-free environment', even with a vaccine.
They are nothing new, and they will never go away. They are here to stay, particularly with global warming causing a spread of various deadly diseases such as malaria, resulting in worsening pandemics.
The best we can hope for is to suppress them, like many other deadly diseases, as long as people get vaccinated, improve their hygiene and stop kissing and exchanging bacteria.

Now, now 4bee this sort of response is just not on . Anyone with a modicum of knowledge re our military preparedness will know that the bloody 'dib-dabs' have squandered the national supply of 7.62X51 ammunition shooting up endangered dolphins and illegal immigrant, oops sorry poor deserving refugee, scows. The 2 remaining belts are now the matter of a major turf battle between the services and are unlikely to be wasted on vermin eradication. The interim move to the now obsolete 5.56 minimi would be a better option if the Australian inventory had any in working order. As a cost cutting measure and the now enforced work cover 5 Kg limit for arms length and above shoulder lifting the new standard is the 'ratshot' loaded Ruger 10/22. Fortunately the services have an abundance of these post John Howard's outlawing of these lethal pseudo military weapons .

But seriously, a measure of a cultures civilisation can often be measured by the way it treats its very old and very young and by extension its 'village idiots' of which these anti vaxers/anti 5G/anti everything Darwin Award candidates surely are. A bit more tolerance is called for here, shame on you 4bee.

A better and more tolerant response could be to facilitate and actually promote this sort of 'get together', though financial constraints would decree smaller venues and in the best spirit of Kumbaya shared facilities and drink containers etc. I'm sure the Greens would jump at the opportunity to promote such a get together of existing and potential muppets, err. sorry members

The main problem of course would be to protect the innocent ie. associates/contacts of the above free spirits. CentreLink employees, drug dealers and Tofu sellers are the most at risk here. I'm sure the powers that be can protect these unfortunates with the ultimate goal being a significant 'chlorination of the (shallow end of) the gene pool'. I urge the authorities here to 'keep the eye on the prize'

    Shame on you 4bee.

Mick, the warmer it is the less the virus that causes Covid-19 likes it.

How do you know ant-vax protesters are far right? Or are you saying it's OK to be an anti-vaxer, if your far left? Nimbin has the highest un-vaxed population in the country, by a long chalk; it's a socialist held seat.
Without getting more political than you already have, can you explain that?

Maybe not Dean, but it would set an example that the Vic. Govt. won't be ****ed around with.

What is left when the cops cannot control a mob though? Anarchy? Interperse the GPMG with a couple of dozen 40mm Grenade Launchers just to show them that the cops are not really taking a hard line. Yet.

Also a few Heavy Calibre Airbursts over the top of them could shower down nice pretty colored Educational leaflets.

After which, they could go in with the heavy stuff & NAPALM & the odd 1,000 lb- ers..

Use up any out dated Stocks of Ammo they want to get shot of & show the ****ers they mean business.

Then again, they could try asking them politely to bugger off.

Sorry, can't explain that without being more political.
Your point about Nimbin is correct though, that's true.
