Well so would I if I have a choice but I haven't been your way for nigh on 50 years or so when I installed a large coolroom for the baker at that time. You probably never get down this way behind Mount Lofty either. I can't even remember his name & google can't find him but it was the airport end of the smoke. He has probably moved on or died which really is the same thing. Maybe before your time.

Just thought. That'd make him probably 102, so if you see a very frail looking olde bloke wearing a traditional white apron covered in flour with a pasty face delivering bread, that'll be him. Possibly.

No Ian, I don't think Mike was looking for a Sex Change just a drink. (Conversation perchance?)

I was in Mt Barker for 4 nights on 20/3-24/3 for a wedding. And I’m partial to a drink at the German Arms and a feed at Haus just over the road from you.

Yeah, that baker is well before my time. The only baker I know that closed in the last 5 years was on Playford up near the top - ran the Bakery/Cake shop.

Have you tried the 'Queens Legs'? Don't go too early though, as you'll have to wait until they open.

Ah, the Queen's Legs, on James St as I recall.

I’ll ask someone who would. Get back to you on that one.

Know Uraidla well, used to deal with the Hunters there for their hydraulic needs.

Not a bad area to ride through either.
