I Col Ross the border with my A pass today.....

Interestingly the transport Guys were advising no longer required to have on windscreen and to just have it handy....he said they prefer driver to have full vision

I only put my pass up 100m before checkpoint and remove straight after, which seemed common sense for all three crossings.

Shock move as existing Queensland border passes rendered invalid as stage 3 restrictions commence - ABC News

It came in at midday, no one knew!

I was in Tweed/Murbah for most of the day and everyone was still using the old pass.
We've taped ours to the top of our screens I the work Tritons so you can look under them, the bottom corner is too much of a blind spot .
I would've had half a dozen accidents by now if it was where most have put it.

A mate of mine, who now resides in Tassie, phoned me yesterday and mentioned in our conversation, that some Victorian rellies of his wife, had successfully sneaked into Qld and were crowing to her about it.

Is this some sort of Victorian mentality?

My mate is an ex-Qlder and was not very impressed and is thinking of reporting them.

    What's to think about?
I just saw on the news, a couple of Victorian knobs decided to turn around at a SA border crossing, rather than do the mandatory 14 day quarantine. They were later caught, bogged, trying to get into SA via an unmanned dirt road. They copped a fine and the cost of recovery for their large van.
I fail to appreciate the desperation for Southark.

They collect quite a lot of information and media reports say people are being checked on and fined.

Ours was never taped to the windscreen,as Rick says, its huge.

SWMBO just held it against the screen as well trundled through.

The Premier announced the changes on Tuesday, to huge publicity, including the midday Friday change. The new regulations have been online since earlier in the week. So there was plenty of notice.

The same thing happened last time the restrictions were changed - existing passes became invalid and had to be replaced. The new passes are only valid for 7 days.

Previously they had to be attached to the left side of the windscreen so the border official could read the A and check there was a pass for each person. Now it sounds like they might stop every vehicle, which will slow the process. ID has to be carried.

There are claims that people have been smuggled through inside semi-trailers like refugees, which would be pretty desperate if true.
