Yes, assuming the correct decisions are being made by those "in charge" of this "thing", then relying on uncaring bastards to carry out those decisions must be the result. I can see no other reason. Then it must fall down, & with no end in sight it is not a pleasant thought that this could go on for years unless they die or see the error of their ways.

I hope they can throw the book at the 2 (now 3,) Asian sheilas who were dishonest & lied when it came to supplying facts to the cops. I don't believe a fine + a kick in the arse is sufficient for these types. Proper Gaol time would be a good place to start.

Time to close the NSW Border to Queenslanders to stop the Me Me Me people up there from spreading the virus to NSW. NSW was a bit late in shutting the border with Victorians bringing it to NSW but in Qld it is Queenslanders taking it back to Qld from Vic and the Qld authorities not checking their own people carefully enough.

Those two young "ladies" with the trout lips and facelifted cheeks need to go to gaol for a long time. Clearly the Qld systems dont work well and NSW should be shutting their border with Qld.

Maybe it is time to do the same in Victoria for local infections?

I think what's happening in aged care goes right to the heart of it.
It's been mentioned in this thread numerous times, but a huge % of the workforce these days are casually employed, minimum wage and are terrified they'll lose their job if they don't turn up for a shift, and can't afford not to turn up as they live week to week.

    And on it goes

What is sad is that the aged care system does not seem to have learnt lessons from the Newmarch Aged Care fiasco earlier in the pandemic.

However it is good to see they are moving infected residents to hospital where at Newmarch residents remained in the home to die without much in the way of care.

An interesting thing came out of the NSW briefings this morning - turd analysis at poo factories all over NSW has been underway for a while. There have not been any observed infections at Perisher but turd analysis indicates it is there .

I read a couple of articles about that this morning. Some folk have short straws given to them all day, each day. A discussion on equality vs equity in society, and that is not just a Vic or Aust issue, NZ has mass casualisation of the workforce and part timers too...

Qld passes are for seven days and expire on Fridays, so that might be why the extension to the whole of Sydney being a hotspot starts on Saturday.

One of the two irresponsible Logan criminals, who deliberately lied about being in Melbourne, is refusing to cooperate with tracing personnel. Both are being investigated, in regard to their reason for visiting Melbourne, with the belief that it was a high value shoplifting trip.
As a 19 year old, working for a low paying private school, they'd need a second income to live the botox and buffet lifestyle they enjoyed.
Serious jail time is not an unreasonable expectation.
