Yes, it's a trick of the photo, it's not photoshopped.So you are calling it trick photography, Maybe they cut and pasted the people into the images.
Talk about denial
You shoot a long shot with a Tele lens and it compresses all the people together. If you looked at them from side on I'd bet they were all quite a distance apart.
I take photos, I've done it.
Typical of news editors to elicit outrage and clicks.

even if they could only use someone down there, surely to hell you would have lined up the ducks before the event if you knew you were doing it and got assurances etc, not just dash off in the middle of such a an event to a spot with higher infection rates to start with and then just blindly hope your right to go....
the borders and restrictions have been in place for ages.

it's all to do with the line of sight and the angle of the dangle...
you any good at trigonometry ?
stand 10 people in a straight line 5 meters apart and take a photo at a 10deg angle and they all look close
now take that shot at 40deg and you see them quite a distance apart in the resulting photo...

I would outwardly appear you have no idea about the complexities involved in getting treatment when the location you live doesn't have the particular doctor you need at the time.
