That's why the real answer to these sort of problems is the vaccine, which is pretty close now, next year anyway. Now we have to plan for some way to distribute it equitably, my barber and I were discussing this just the other day, it's amazing how much of the world's problems can be solved in a barber shop. We feel as does most of Australia it seems, that "too much sport is barely enough" so the only proper way to do it is to give it to sports people 1st, so some sort of tournament is needed to make things equitable, especially for the smaller sporting nations, soccer is pro'ly the most played sport around the world so it would be the game of choice with the winners getting the vax!

from the news today:
People have already started lining up at testing clinics across Adelaide for the third day after up to 10-hour waits at some locations on Tuesday.
People started lining up at testing clinics about 4am this morning, in a bid to beat the crowds and avoid the heat.
At Parafield Airport on Tuesday, people were patiently sitting in deckchairs and holding umbrellas, with some saying at midday they had waited more than six hours to be seen by SA Health staff.
Meanwhile nearby cafe on Lockheed Lane, Elsie’s Kitchen, has been doing a roaring trade with owner Sue Parkhouse saying hundreds have come through to use the toilets or buy a coffee.
be funny if that cafe is the next place closed

I wonder how many of those people in the queues actually even have any symptoms to justify waiting many hours to be tested.
Many aren’t concerned enough to wear a mask either and seem happy to join a queue with other strangers who may have COVID.

The SA government is doing the best they can in a difficult situation. The residents have been asked to present to be tested, and the numbers were more than could be processed quickly, so those who are well with no symptoms have been asked to stay home for now. There is no panic at this stage, merely citizens trying to do the right thing. We shouldn't turn this into something it is not. So far, , here at least, the vitriol and spite that was directed at Victoria, and it's government , Melbourne especially , has not emerged. Here's hoping it does not.
