Not quite the same, but I wonder if this bloke has changed his mind.

"Letter to the editor - today 17/9/2020"

"COVID paranoia Australia is consumed by a COVID paranoia. I spent five months stuck there from April, unable to return to my wife in the US. I spent a month in self-isolation in two states. I had to apply to government departments to cross borders and then eventually leave the country. Victoria is the ultimate surreal nightmare of all things un-Australian. I finally managed to fly out of Perth last Sunday. Once I landed in Dallas I was passed through immigration by a friendly official, then I flew on to Santa Fe, where I wasn’t required to quarantine. Walking free, I was picked up by my wife and the months of Australian madness, thankfully, began to evaporate.

I saw a news report today that NSW Police were going along the long lines of cars queuing for hours waiting for Covid testing and issuing tickets for anyone using a mobile phone. Certainly a great way to get people to go for testing.

Apparently as soon as the poo hit the fan in the media over this, Glads stepped in and common sense prevailed and all fines rescinded.

Very good - once in Victoria it is normal to wear the mask below the nose, so this should help Rudolph.

I guess they won’t be allowed into WA this year.

Santa has a cunning plan. He's disguising them as camels, and they are reversing in.[ so they think they are going, not coming.] Santa is dressing up as Gina Reinhart, can't fail. Might get awkward if residents know camels can't walk backwards, though.

    QLD/NSW border updates
The re-introduced Queensland/New South Wales border restrictions will only minimally disrupt the agribusiness, food manufacturing and commercial fishing sectors.
Anyone coming from a hotspot in the last 14 days will need an endorsement for exemption as a specialist or essential worker, and then they can apply for a border pass.

Anyone entering Queensland from New South Wales (outside a hotspot) will need to have aborder pass declaration, including returning Queenslanders.
