How people power has flattened the COVID curve in Hong Kong. When the curve has flattened, it is still not the end of restrictions. Life will not be back to " normal " for some time.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

100%' as a significant proportion of vehicles domiciled in far northern NSW sport Qld rego so they don't have to do a yearly inspection

    Great news!
Hairdressers now not limited to 30 minutes.
We will not have to watch TV presenters with grey hair showing their real age.
With regards to Qld rego. great opportunity for cops to know who is faking home addresses.
    Regards PhilipA

If council regulationd were relaxed so shopkeepers were allowed to set up on footpaths, which are mostly deserted anyway, it would be a lot safer serving people outside than inside, with tables separated a recommended distance, out in the fresh air. Cafes could provide outside takeaway service. Hairdressers could cut hair outside. Businesses could keep some work coming in.

Trucks need to keep moving to bring in essential supplies. Queensland residents are allowed to drive to their homes. What would be gained by stopping them, except to cause unnecessary delays?
Its interstate residents they want to keep out and they are stopping them, unless they have applied online and been granted a Qld Entry Permit.

I'm not worried about hairdressers. My wife has been cutting my hair ever since we got married (except for a couple of times on Norfolk Island where the female hairdresser with great cleavage would press her chest into one's back during the cut. I didn't want to go to here but my 2IC insisted).

A few years back we replaced our old Philips clippers with new Wahl clippers.

It's my beauty treatment that I'll miss - you've seen my recent photo so you will understand why it's essential.

What about Queenslanders that have been travelling interstate, Just because they have Qld plates doesn't automatically make them virus immune.
Truckkies going about their business I can understand But grey haired nomads and other travellers should ALL be checked out REGARDLESS of what plates they are wearing.

But they aren't stopping domestic interstate travel, most of my neighbours sport Qld rego and I live near Ballina

And we need the border closed both ways, Qlders are free to travel south atm which is crazy if we are trying to contain the spread.

W.A. is putting through legislation to prevent intrastate travel which will divide the state into the 9 regions.
    Better late than never.
The local beach and all campsites around this area are full of people from Perth . A Friend travelling south from Karratha has said the highway is thick with caravans heading North .

Stay / go home and stop being so selfish .

Albany hospital already has covid-19 cases imported and won't be able to cope with more so don't think you will be safe here

It'll be interesting to see where the regional boundaries are? I've being saying for a while that if for instance the Kimberley could be established as free from the virus, then establish road blocks and stop all entry (bar goods etc), then some shops etc could reopen to establish some economy to get lives running again.... Same could be done for the Pilbara but this is complicated by FIFO mine sites and more roads to manage, then it gets more difficult as you move further south... I think the SW would be lumped with the Metro as there are already cases here and there would be literally hundreds of roads to manage to prevent leakage through back roads.
