    Borders closed

Just heard on the radio WA will be closed to all unnecessary travel from all states and territories as of 11:59 pm Sunday night
Unless it’s essential services you will be told to go back
Only true blue (yellow) sandgropers will be allowed to return home
People in WA can’t travel between regions unless it’s essential as of yesterday
I wonder which state is next???
Are we expecting total lockdown next week???

    Interesting times.....

I have friends who've been advocating for a social wage for decades, and they were regarded as nutters. And then suddenly the Government is paying everyone who applies $1500 a fortnight.

And free childcare was laughed at ... but now it's here.

It's going to be hard to put a lot of this stuff back in the box when this is all over.

    Well that's all good then.
So, do you have any ideas as to how we, as "Hard Saved Resources Reducing As We Speak", could also receive some "support"?

Not when we all have to pay for it.

This is smashing up our deficit.

Spiralling stupid cost of living, greed and people paying ridiculous amounts for B&Mortar drove the 2 income family. Have nows drove up personal debt. Property investors drove up rent.

And now people want free child care, paid leave for a year to have a kid... ffs....

We and several of our friends did all this without any assistance. A few weeks off (not for the Dads) when kids come. Paid for child care or modified hours as the kids got older...

Why the **** should businesses or the public purse pick up this? What ****s me more - subsidised daycare for Unemployed single mums!

That option is of course under consideration, & ya'd have to be a ****** to mention one's perilous situation if that were not a consideration. And it most definitely is.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, I was thinking, if I hadn't sold the Defender to buy the GTSR, I'd have $50K in the bank!!.....and wouldn't that be nice today!
if someone were to offer me anywhere near what it's worth, it would've been sold yesterday, but they are virtually impossible to sell at the moment,..which is totally understandable (No way I'd buy such a thing in the current climate), no matter how good a car they are,....and they are VERY good.. Don't believe me re saleability?....Check out the stock of any HSV Dealer & see how many HSVs they cannot sell?
I suspect there may be a few forum members who may have to sell a few "hard earned" assets to just to survive.
I ain't complaining, well I am I suppose, but that's just the way it is.

I was just playing. When I was made redundant a few things went.
Fortunately I managed to go freelance - make a heap of coin quickly and buy the items back.

What’s hurting? Investment returns? I know my old boy is down quite a bit at the moment on his Super and shares.

The market will bounce after a big reset....
