The only issues the little Korean suffered were a few pieces of broken, external plastic. I hope your Disco is as reliable.
A mate of mine did the trip 25yrs ago in a Subaru wagon.Three destroyed tyres,no other issues.

One of my brothers lived up there for years,on his first trip up there in a VW beach buggy,no worries either, except a suicidal frogmouth that took out the windscreen.
The next trip in his mates GQ,they drove the Jardine, just for something to do

So a reliable Land Rover should do it easy,

    As my last D2a did,twice

    Grundies,why would you need them

But, but, but, Rick. I've sworn an oath not to have a haircut until it's all over! The rate my hair is growing and going by the waxing in today's world, I'll probably be one of the few people with hair below their waist.

Get a set of hair clippers from K Mart and do your own.
The difference between a Good haircut and a bad one is only a fortnight

Buy a decent set. Been there, done that. The cheapies pulled more hair out than they cut, on the first and only pompadour.
Save money, buy once, buy well; Wahl. Mine have for years and still are, giving sterling service.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Apparently the cheap [Good Guys/Chinese stylee] Electric Wahls are crap but the USA made ones are the best. Supposedly.

Maybe I need to learn how to sharpen mine correctly.
