With several countries supporting trials of the drug and the company being here, in Europe and else where a more equitable approach for those most in need would have been possible and likely had it not been for a certain **** you attitude in the US now.
The company is reliably reported to having its arm twisted in a big way to do it this way. Noting they kindly have involved 2 generic manufactures to try and help India and Pakistan. It would have been easy for them to also add capacity via other manufactures in every country which might happen anyway.
UK Doc nails it
"It so clearly signals an unwillingness to cooperate with other countries and the chilling effect this has on international agreements about intellectual property rights," Dr Yaqub said in a statement.
From what I've read, it assists recovery.
Yes, I've read that too, but if Trump is buying it up, this suggests it is ineffective!

The US stats are just unbelievable.
2.7 million infected.
48,000 new infections on June 30 alone.
128,000 dead.
Infection rates are soaring in many states.
New York has shut its borders with a long list of states.
One CDC estimate is that 25% of people in New York may have been infected.
Trump's response? He hopes the virus will 'sort of disappear'.
Unbelievable!
To put that in perspective, the US military deaths in the Vietnam War were 58,318, so the virus has already killed more than twice as many Americans as died in Vietnam.

Thing is it will ‘sort of’ disappear.
Some form of Herd immunity will occur.
The weakest will suffer, the strongest will survive.
Harsh as all buggery, but a reality none the less.
What would be interesting is understanding any correlation between health, fitness, wellness, current medications, lifestyle, location etc and what impacts that has/had on those who succumbed to this virus.
They've swept past Vietnam + Middle East + Korea + Afghanistan, now working on WW2, small step from there to all wars since 1900. They should manage that by November, and be working on all of the above before moving on to their deadliest war ever - the one they had by themselves!

This is getting interesting, in not a good way. Let's see how we handle this, if it escalates.
