Thats great, but are they going to actually tell people that this is going to happen, not just hope that everyone finds out somehow?

And give people time to get passes sorted?

Some sort of advertising campaign in the media would be helpful, which would hopefully stop a debacle like there was at the borders on Friday.

Actually, testing shows the same rates of infection in NSW as Victoria.

The statement that the majority of Victorians aren't careful, considerate and thoughtful is rude, ludicrous and unwarranted. Vic was clear for some time and had it beat, but people who came into Australia already infected and were in quarantine infected their guards who then unwittingly spread it around their contacts and families. There is one outbreak caused by the incompetence of the bureaucrats and the people in the lockdown suburbs are bearing the brunt of that, when it's really just a couple of households that have caused the problem in those areas.

From now on I suggest that all international arrivals be sent to Geraldton - let's see how you deal with the tens of thousands that have returned to Australia by air, with up to 10% from some countries being infected.

Sheds a whole new light on the "do you have protection" question.

I read that NSW separates people who test positive into one hotel managed by Health, and those who test negative into another hotel run by the police.

The big news in Victoria is 108 new cases, including 26 in nine public housing blocks with 3000 residents, who are going into hard lockdown for at least 5 days under police guard and unable to leave.

Two more postcodes have also been added to the hotspot suburbs.

I know someone, a young doctor, who lives just near the public housing blocks.

They tested 25,000 people yesterday, so that's a big effort. Its good the higher testing is finding positives. Andrews has asked everyone in the hotspot suburbs to get tested.

I suppose in Oz it's known as getting it off with someone, in the former great US it's known as getting it on with someone and in a 1980's pandemic that killed 30 ish mill(?) there was a catch cry of 'if it's not on, it's not on' to encourage behaviour that minimised transmission.

New arrivals DO pose a problem But at the moment community spreading is the Main source of new infections So it wont be a great deal of help diverting new arrivals to WA Especially when these returnees are Melbourne based anyway.

I so hope they don't have a Communal Toilet or they will be in more strife than Ned Kelly.

    Some good news..
The restrictions on Aboriginal Communities, including Doomadgee, in Queensland have been lifted.
Now, maybe, I can get some contractors in to get some much needed repairs & maintenance done & our new accommodation unites completed.
    Also, SWMBO, can now visit.
