People are being referred to the police for not complying/being at home after a compliance check has been done.
So what part of that makes you think that it isn't compulsory to answer the door to verify that you are Indeed at home??
It is NOT as if these people haven't been told verbally and in writing what is expected of them whilst in isolation is it??

In my house, if I am at the back of the house or even in the backyard, I cannot hear anyone at the front door. I understand the checkers know that people could be "occupied" when they visit so come back later and if the person they are looking for does not then answer it is only then they chase it up.

To be charged or fined the authorities will have to prove you were not isolating, not answering the door is not proof.

Though in Trout's world the Swat team will be called, the doors broken down with guns drawn and if the person is not home, when caught they will locked up on the spot - no trial .

You made a statement that I have asked you to quantify, you can't, so the only conclusion that can be drawn is that you made it up.

We have a large block,if we are down the back,they can knock forever and we will never hear them.
If they are smart they would come around the back,but coming through a gate that has a beware of the dog sign on it,would probably not be in their job description....

I'm just back from a service call at a Woolies and had forgotten all about this!
We will be required to wear them when on-site, it's not optional for contractors.
In a way probably about time, hospitality and retail and their associated service industries have been among the most vulnerable occupations yet nobody ever mentions them.
