The Victorian Government has declared a State of Emergency, so that's where it stands there.
Other states have made declarations under their Public Health Acts.

I think the restrictions may be stricter for those who have tested positive than for those who are generally isolating, but are not positive, but I haven't found where that is stated.
I thought those who are positive basically can't leave home except in a medical emergency, and are supposed to even isolate within their homes, but others in Victoria could be out for food, exercise etc - 4 reasons.
Anyone found where the rules for those who are positive are stated?

I just googled Covid home isolation/quarantine Australia , each state gov comes up with their rules , WA treat Quarantine & isolating the same , as i think the Fed Gov does . The bloody problem is different rules for each state to a varying degree .

The list of places in Brisbane where, if people have visited and have symptoms they should get tested, is worrying. Garden City Shopping Centre gets a huge number of shoppers daily.
We had a family discussion and we're not waiting to be locked down, we're resuming some isolation activities immediately.

Yay. That is exactly what we did back in the year dot as could foresee the brown stuff hitting the whirly thing. Didn't expect it to come from the direction of Vic though.

Now I really will qualify for "The Real Billy No Mates Trophy"

[Edit: As someone else noted ...]

Cyclists (and joggers) are exempted from wearing masks. Despite that a lot of cyclists are wearing them anyway, myself included, and I'm asthmatic.

I see hardly anyone who is required to wear a mask not doing so.

Good call DM. The known issues get the press releases. The unknown ones would be worrying. This virus appears to be a step ahead of things so a proactive approach rather than reactive is good I think.
