What was fascinating was this discussion was it said 10% of people could get AIDs and infect others but not suffer any impacts or symptoms themselves. We know some are immune or less impacted by Covid19. More study is occurring and needed of course.

where is my family tree ?????
Dr Karl is not a medical doctor but he is right that our western civilisation ancestors picked up a lot of diseases (and immunity) by cohabitating inside long houses, huts, barns, caves etc in winter with all the farm animals they brought in from the fields. The smallpox vaccine was based on immunity to milkpox, which a doctor noticed milk maids used to get on their hands from milking cows.

There is no official horticultural definition of what a weed is.
In everyday usage though, a weed is a plant out of place that is disrupting management goals.

..............and is easily spread by seeds attaching themselves to the hides & wool of various animals.

One doesn't see many Gladioli springing up hither & thither, but bloody Blackberries & Broom! Bloody things. Say no more.

"After high school, he attended the University of Wollongong, completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in physics in 1968. In 1980 Kruszelnicki was awarded a Master of Biomedical Engineering at the University of New South Wales. He completed a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery at Sydney University in 1986."

I'm afraid that this record looks very like the qualifications for a doctor* to me - and worked as a doctor before leaving that career specifically to fight misinformation about vaccines that led to the death of a child in his care (whooping cough), starting his career as a full time populariser of science.

Seems to me that he is well qualified to offer an opinion on this subject.

Informed choice. Sensible choice. Listening to people who actually know...ie unbiased health professionals with experience and credentials in the relevant area. When it comes to science having an 'opinion' is not sensible choice if there is overwhelming consonance amongst the experts. If the science is not consistent then there is room for doubt and legitimate room for a.decision not to go a particular way. But having an opinion if it is against the overwhelming agreement of the experts is just not going to cut it. Choosing not to get a jab if there is overwhelming support from the medicos and with negligible risk puts that person at risk and the community at large at risk.

Not getting the jab because you are concerned (with zero evidence) that the virus is a hoax or the Govt is putting nanobots into your blood is not a proper choice.

The above is not directed at you Eevo.

    Cheers

Trouble is their ill-informed 'opinion' leading to their choice adversely affects those around them.

Yes. It does happen every day. Doesnt mean it is right or that I have to accept it. There are some things that shouldn't be put into the hands of people with no clue combined with a massive dose of conspiracy theory. I'm not advocating communist rule, but we know legislation has been used before to ensure people don't 'choose' to do stupid things or endanger themselves and others. Like choosing not to wear a seat belt and choosing to drink drive.

    Cheers
