There is a festival and a book fair in Wellington (about an hour away) today. I thought about going (book fairs are high on the priority list for me!), but even though the risk is low, I decided to stay at home. There was a case in Parkes (no known origin) two days ago.

If you were pointing out that *that* specific issue was created by the bureaucrats then I whole wholeheartedly agree, but that is entirely another kettle of fish.

See on the news that there is a lot of average Melburnians protesting about lockdowns , would appear that masks or social distancing is not very high on the Agenda !! .

Talking of fish. The Victorian trout season opened today so I had a bit of a wander trying to temp one in to having a chew on a lure. A couple of other anglers were doing the same thing. Thing is, I didn't know them and when I casually asked 'where ya from' a walk off was the result. Oh well.....Oh yeah, the fish...... A nice 1 and 3/4 LB Rainbow Trout will be baked for lunch tomorrow.

It is good that feral fish have been caught - not understanding why they have seasons though - is a feral that predates on native fish as well as just about anything else. I worked for Fisheries and none of the fishery managers could explain why trout, in many respects were more protected than native fish.
