Researchers at the Children’s National Hospital in Washington analysed the medical records of more than 60 children who had been tested multiple times for Covid-19, the disease caused by the virus, and found the median time it took to test negative was 25 days.

The Northern Hemisphere going to autumn/winter return to school and flu season life is almost safe in our little bubbles on OZ. Several vaccination options may be available in the next several months happiliy. It seem insane to me as the case number OS growing will flow to deaths over the coming weeks. The ME ME ME people are wining in some countries I think. Not suggesting I am right. Just do not see how I can go any where I want with out a significant risk of harming others. Masked bike ride close to home this morning was nice. I would love to get a 50km ride in but not going to.

Blimey, 50k with a mask? Would you not be dead in that time, James? Maybe breathing through your bum might be helpful.

There is a festival and a book fair in Wellington (about an hour away) today. I thought about going (book fairs are high on the priority list for me!), but even though the risk is low, I decided to stay at home. There was a case in Parkes (no known origin) two days ago.

While I understand what you are getting at, it would appear that many years of constant "growth" at a rate much faster than the existing population could actually create functioning members of society has seen those groups in those specific regions and occupations become "average Melburnians".

If you were pointing out that *that* specific issue was created by the bureaucrats then I whole wholeheartedly agree, but that is entirely another kettle of fish.

See on the news that there is a lot of average Melburnians protesting about lockdowns , would appear that masks or social distancing is not very high on the Agenda !! .

Talking of fish. The Victorian trout season opened today so I had a bit of a wander trying to temp one in to having a chew on a lure. A couple of other anglers were doing the same thing. Thing is, I didn't know them and when I casually asked 'where ya from' a walk off was the result. Oh well..... Oh yeah, the fish...... A nice 1 and 3/4 LB Rainbow Trout will be baked for lunch tomorrow.

No wonder why the other states don't want to reopen the borders.

Whats that in kg - we been metric since the very early 70s.

It is good that feral fish have been caught - not understanding why they have seasons though - is a feral that predates on native fish as well as just about anything else. I worked for Fisheries and none of the fishery managers could explain why trout, in many respects were more protected than native fish.
