If they were not, we would be seeing hundreds of asymptomatic positives with no link to existing chains of infection. These simply do not exist.
Surely the false positives are not as potentially dangerous as the false negatives, and the fact is, there just hasn't been the time for any of these to develop into Covid. I'd wait a bit longer before declaring they don't exist. And here's hoping they don't.

Thanks for that ! - I felt certain it came from a reputable source.

But, my Aussie Nationalistic heart is NOT impressed with ScoMo's off-hand dismissal of a fine, Accurate.... LOCAL invention. - Think of the jobs etc that home manufacture and home sales would generate ?

    - But, I suppose it has to be verified or 'vindicated' by a Gold Standard, such as an actual SARS-2 virus. Sadly, as is slowly surfacing, this virus has yet to be isolated ! So, apart from the fun & games that the Drosten Review is causing, casting doubt on PCR usefulness, we still need a sample of the little buggers.

EDIT:- Yes, yes, I know... it's not him but the TGA dragging it back, or maybe it's a commercial cartel or whatever. But ScoMo is Captain of the Lugger, and as my Old Man (youngest Captain in the Merchant Marine at his time...) used to say, "The Captain is responsible for Everything that happens on board his ship."

The rollout of the vaccines in the UK and the USA has reached a hurdle. The USA is considering giving two half strength doses, while the UK is considering a full strength dose, with a longer delay before the second dose. Both changes are suggested as ways to speed up the process. The US approach would see more people injected with the same amount of vaccine available , and they say it would give an identical immune response
for the age group 18 to 55. as a full dose. The problem in the US is only 2.8 million people have been vaccinated, as opposed to the 20 million promised by the administration.

US officials are considering giving people 2 half doses of Moderna's COVID-19 shot to speed up rollout, vaccine chief Slaoui says (msn.com)

Desperation ? Maybe they could do a deal with France, recent report implied 'only 60%' were interested in getting jabbed.... Alleged order of 10M (double-shots, = 20M injections) for <70 M population.... And PAID for.
Anyone suspect the French reckon they may have to repeat ?

This could be a reason.. French infectious disease expert shocked by the number of adverse reactions to COVID-19 vaccine | News | LifeSite - Valid or not, True or not, just the fact it's published is enough to make many hesitate, and France has one of the highest "hesitancy" in Europe..

There had been a couple of anaphylactic reactions in the US.
One was a doctor with a shellfish allergy, he notified his colleagues and hit himself with his epipen
