Just a call out to the mod who moved my Perth fires post to the Walrus Covid thread. Try to get it right please, if you must.

    Thank you, very efficient.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Let's hope tomorrow is indeed a good day for Tom. Reality suggests otherwise. A Yorkshireman, I've just finished watching a video about another great Yorkshireman , son of a Yorkshire farmer , none other than Captain James Cook. The soldier, the sailor, the cricket umpire, Yorkshire has produced some memorable people.

As the biggest county, they've probably got the numbers on their side.
Scotland always seemed to punch above its weight churning out remarkable engineers of many disciplines.

The Scots have refined their cognitive skills [ the part of mental functions that deal with logic, as opposed to affective which deals with emotions] over the years by getting the most out of their last farthing.
