Just had my first AZ. No problems so far. Second jab is on 7 August.

Paperwork says two-thirds of people have a mild reaction within 24 hours, so take paracetamol and all should be good.

Paperwork says AZ doesn't contain SARS 2, so I assume any deaths would be attributed to blood clots, not Covid.

Qld Govt is releasing it's stocks of AZ for over 50s, since it isn't being given to under 50s now, so GPs should have more doses. Get jabbed!

Was thinking today that as we're not vaccinating children that's a quarter of the population who will be unvaccinated, so how will we reach the herd immunity?

I assume the virus will keep mutating and coming in, so we will need 1 or 2 vaccinations every year, just like with influenza.

So we have 2 choices, Take up the vaccine or run the risk of getting COV19.
Personally taking a TINY risk getting vaccinated is Much preferable to getting the virus itself and possibly dying from it and IF I do survive have to put up with the myriad of other ongoing health problems due to the damage to my body caused by contracting COV19.

India is the largest vaccine producer, but is running out of supplies to make vaccines for it's own people. The Serum Institute of India is the World's biggest vaccine manufacturer, and has warned the supply crunch will last for about another three months. Only 28.9 million people have received both doses, around 200 million are awaiting their second shot, and 600 million are waiting for their first shot. How did this come about?

Government negligence, corporate profiteering, opaque contracting, and the inequities of the global Pharma market combine to bring India to this crisis.

How did this come about?

How? There probably was also a shortage of French Letters (Medical Terms, Frogskins. Frangers) & the Pill & some basic education on how to use both.

Sounds more like a Population problem than a shortage of materials to make the Vaccine.

They were far better prepared for Smallpox for returning Travellers than Covid as well with Quarantine facilities but the population was much smaller.

No stupid Hotels for them, separate quarters & open air was the way.

It's not only the unvaccinated kids that will be the problem, The droves of "tin foil hatters" that are refusing to get vaccinated will compound the problem as well.

The US is only now just getting emergency approval of their vaccines for children. No news on ours yet.
