Yes working together is the solution, but that will not occur by absolving the ‘federal mob’, as you call them, of responsibility. You can’t have it both ways.

So I have to disagree Bob, the problems with vaccine shortages / rollout and poor quarantine facilities have both clearly been caused by the federal mob ‘staying out of the way’ …they are responsible for both and they need to take responsibility.

It’s not about the blame game as you call it, but the entirely understandable public uproar about the very poor performance of the federal mob.

By the way I heard on ABC radio today that Australian made AstraZeneca may not be accepted for travel passports into the EU !!

And when a lockdown is called 'stay at home' no one is going to think about taking it seriously, and they haven't.

In the rural areas we have taken it seriously by wearing masks etc even though it isn't out here. It does our head in when people in lockdown where the virus is circulating wont isolate and they keep coming out here, by bus loads in some cases! At this rate I cant see how it wont explode in the Greater Sydney area and we are all hoping it doesn't get brought out here so we get locked down as well.
    Cheers

Yeah ,I get it. It's just disappointing that we see health workers tirelessly putting in the hard yards, age care workers as well. And then aged care workers told the federal mob are mandating vaccinations, with the wink, wink, because they don't want to be vaccinated. And we know that just isn't true for the vast majority. Can't go into it here, of course. Then our tireless health workers are forced to work double shifts, etc, etc, and looked at with scorn when they get tested positive , by people who should know better. You only kick a dog for so long before it bites you .

It was an effort to prove that the conservative approach was the way to go, and quick sharp lockdowns didn't work. Remember the mantra, lockdowns will ruin the economy? Neither turned out to be true. It took a gutsy QLD team effort to call out the mob on the hill, before things started to change for the better. And now our Premier is being pilloried by the ' Trump' media , for standing up and fronting up. But we love her

A big day out for me today which entailed going into a shopping Centre (you can see I live dangerously )

Stopped for lunch at a Bakery, usually ok. I hit the 1 litre Sanitiser Bottle & not a bloody drop came out. I asked 'indoors to tell the staff when she was served. Couldn't have cared less.
    The staff, not indoors.

Other people coming in after me were getting the same result but just kept on walking by to be served also bunched up pretty bloody close too.

But indoors was able to sign in but not all asked for the Clipboard or appeared to use their phone. so WTF. I can see this bloody disease lasting for years. 'Indoors says "we haven't got it in SA." Me: "As far as you can tell & that the Authorities ain't pulling our tits to look good & I bet some bastard has told Porkies." ' indoors. "Stop yer whingeing & enjoy your lunch"

Shall I go shopping again in the near future? Not on your bloody life.

The USA has not approved the Astra Zeneca vaccine for emergency use, so it does not regard people like me who have had AZ as having been vaccinated.
If you're going to the USA (not me) then get Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson.

That is not correct - any vaccine that has been authorised for emergency use by the WHO (and AZ from all makers has been) is able to be used by travellers to the USA - how some organisations deal with that within the US is a different matter as they often like to make up their own rules but at the highest level the US cannot stop you entering with AZ.

If any particular country stops people with authorised vaccinations from entering then you can guarantee retaliatory action will follow.
