    If you're going to the USA (not me) then get Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson.
    Yes, problem is I will need to join the NSW health ministers ‘hunger games’ !! because I did the right thing and got AstraZeneca first dose only a week before they changed the advice to folks in their 50’s getting Pfizer. But because I’ve had one dose of AZ I can’t now get Pfizer !!!

    My wife is American! and we need to travel to USA and EU for work!! Postponed already for a year now!! We are NOT happy!

    Cheers Bob. Yes the political smoke and mirrors elitism is unAustralian. and yes we can’t talk about it here - I’ve already been sanctioned on this site for stating the bleeding obvious. So I will stop now, except to say that I’m ashamed to be an Australian caught in the midst this internationally incompetent response to Covid19 in 2021, both in terms of the appalling treatment of the second class half of our fellow citizens, as well as our National attitude to those countries that desperately need the support of wealthy countries like ours.

    Whether they have or not is no consequence to me as I have never wanted to visit there previously & no more OS destinations for me anyway. Done my travelling starting back when PNG got Nationhood then Europe on & off for quite a few years after.

    They're researching the mixing of AZ and Pfizer and have had positive results. It'll be interesting to see if this will become an option or if later down the track you can have Pfizer doses as a booster.
    Cheers

    That sounds a bit like half The Village People, Bob.

    Yes thanks mate, it's the vague later that's the problem for us. ...Also very uncertain given the Aus vaccine roll out and the appalling attitude towards any Australian citizens who need to travel overseas or return to Australia.

    We're also way behind on approving Pfizer after AZ ...while some countries have already prioritised Pfizer as second shot - AZ and Pfizer together are more effective. But here because of lack of supply of Pfizer, under 60's who had first shot of AZ HAVE TO GET SECOND SHOT OF AZ! ...Even though it is a risk and AZ is being phased out!.

    Yes I know the advice is that second AZ is not as risky, but it must be if other countries are prioritizing Pfizer for second shot. AZ is only for emergencies in USA and if it was not made in UK it may not be accepted in EU either.

    How easy it is to make a simple mistake. Covid alert in a WA hospital, after a seafarer was brought ashore for testing. [ 28 staff members , 18 patients and five visitors need to be tested] ;

At this rate I cant see how it wont explode in the Greater Sydney area and we are all hoping it doesn't get brought out here so we get locked down as well.
    There seems to be a courtesy in rural areas that is absent in the large cities.

    I was working down in Portland earlier in the year and everyone was wearing masks in public even though they didn't have to. I don't think they've had a local Covid case the whole time.

    We are being told we must consider living with the virus. Long Covid suggests perhaps we should think again.
    from the New Daily;

    I think you are referring to a comment by Brad Hazzard - taken out of context. Having just read the entire statement, what he said was that we will have to consider living with it if we don't start taking restrictions seriously. I do not think that says we "must", I think that it is a warning.
