I guessed as much, & the Comm. Govt endorsing ads for this Covid business on TV doesn't help if they are only in the English Language. There has to more of this in their own languages to get through.

Indoors has been saying this since Day 1 for those areas, & we don't even live there, & their own ethnic GP's can't seem to get the VAX message through to them in person. They go to the local Mosque & get their heads filled with crap from other disbelieving folk.

They are familiar with a lifestyle with getting out & about & socialising with their own kind & they move from house to house to house a in different areas to satisfy that. That can't be a good thing.

It's a rocky road, Ian, getting into the depths of a very complex subject. It will take 2 or 3 generations to even get close to the nirvana you suggest, and some fears stay with you for life. To me, the knee jerk reaction of the NSW government [which I think it is] can only widen the divide that already exists in today's Australian society. It's human nature to look around & think " they didn't do this to the Northern beaches, or Bondi ", and what appears to be the almost complete lack of consultation or clear explanation only acerbates the situation. When people are bought along for the ride, have a clear feeling of belonging , and are not marginalised , only then can you have the outcome the NSW government desires. Treat people differently to the mainstream, have little or no consultation [ with community leaders] , no clear explanation of what is required , you get the outcome the NSW government has. Just my thoughts.

Some of us make an effort to work out what is real and what is disinformation.
There are tools you can use to help you.
For example the source you linked to is one that should not be taken as 100% trustworthy.
Sky News Australia - Media Bias/Fact Check
While that assessment might not be sufficient reason to dismiss what it says, there is certainly a need to look further to see if any more reliable sources support the claims.
It is obvious that some people are posting claims and links without making any effort to check the veracity of the claims. That need to stop.
It is possible to get some idea about what is real and what is not, but you need to make the effort to distinguish between the two.

Has Army been asked the reason?

Are the residents in the above affected areas prone to "sorting out the bloody coppers"

Could be as simple as that you know.
Wording of Defence press release for information. It pretty much explains everything....

Defence personnel to assist NSW Police and civilian authorities with COVID-19 outbreak
    31 July 2021

On 29 July 2021, Defence received a request from Emergency Management Australia on behalf of the New South Wales (NSW) State Emergency Operations Centre, to provide Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel to support the NSW Police with their response to the COVID-19 situation in Greater Sydney.

Brigadier Michael Garraway, Commander of Task Force 629, said the ADF would deploy up to 300 Defence personnel in the coming days to assist NSW authorities, serving the community.

“Defence members will commence deploying today to undertake training over the weekend and start working under the direction of NSW Police,” said Brigadier Garraway.

“Our tasks will include assisting NSW police with conducting isolation and welfare checks, supporting NSW police presence patrols, transportation support, and logistics assistance.

“This will be in addition to approximately 250 Australian Defence Force personnel who are already supporting state authorities in New South Wales, with tasks such as quarantine compliance management at hotels and airports.

“Our people are there in support of the NSW Police and civilian authorities, and to serve the community” said Brigadier Garraway.

ADF support to the civil community is guided by the Australian constitution. ADF personnel supporting the COVID outbreak in NSW are not authorised as law enforcement officers, nor are they able to enforce health orders.

“Our role is to assist New South Wales authorities do the important work they need to do in order to keep our communities safe,” said Brigadier Garraway.

The ADF has worked closely with NSW and Federal authorities to support the community, including through bushfires and floods. Defence continues to work closely with these authorities to ensure Defence resources are allocated efficiently.

I would imagine that for OH&S reasons it would be undesirable to send a single policeman on doorknock duties.

For those concerned about the impact of ADF supporting the covid effort in Sydney its about to get far stricter.

    More ADF
    More police
Redrafting of restrictions to suit the police commissioners agenda so that more people can be prosecuted
    Single bubble revision
Only a single residence ( not sure how it is currently possible to go to your becah house unless you live within 10K m of it but anyway)

There will be an expected change to the public health orders in NSW after a crisis Cabinet meeting. One rule they have in place allows people to travel to a second residence outside of locked down Sydney. " this may be how the virus is spreading into regional NSW" [ Really?] And the NSW government is requesting more ADF troops to assist with compliance. Also changes to the " singles bubble " have been proposed. [ singles bubble?]
