Big?? Things weigh upward of 70 TONS, not tonnes. They are a logistical nightmare, as for every ton of tank, 4 tons of support ordinance is required. You can't just pop 'em on a truck. This is one of the reasons Desert Shield took so long before it became Desert Storm. They had to move dozens of the bloody things, mostly from Germany. Still, the Germans got some fine roads and bridges out of having them stationed there to face the Red Army. No normal road can handle them. Neither could the Iraqi tanks, apparently.
