The Post Office had the same people run it for 30 years and I still used to visit them even after they retired. Both still kicking in their mid 90’s too now and still independent and living at home. 👍
Post office where I grew up was a part of the general store in the Village, and also the manual telephone exchange.

I got my first wife from there as that is where she worked. After many years when I tried to give her back they wold not accept her, as they claimed that the wrapping was damaged and not caused by them!

Here's another problem with Australia Post - delayed postal voting.

Knowing AP's record maybe they should move closer to town rather than staying remote.

"Don't you worry about that". If the envelope bears any resemblance to a Vote, the premier will pick them up herself. Cape York? No probs, as that is why she has the use of a Govt Jet.

Australia Post CEO to resign 'immediately' amid $20k watch scandal

    https://au.news.yahoo.com/australia-post-ceo-to-resign-amid-20-k-watch-scandal-034814687.html

Australia Post chief executive Christine Holgate has resigned from the company today, after it was revealed the business spent thousands on Cartier watches for executive staff members.
"I have offered today the Chairman and Board of Australia Post, with great sadness, my resignation as Chief Executive with immediate effect," Holgate said in a statement on Monday.

"I am not seeking any financial compensation."
Holgate has been CEO of Australia Post since 30 October 2017, and is one of the top-earning public sector workers, with a salary of $1.6 million for the 2019-20 financial year. She was ordered to stand aside by the Prime Minister on 22 October, but has now reportedly offered her resignation.

I see her contract says she has to be paid for six months if she resigns, so she will walk away with $750,000.

That small hole above the window could be the Postie's whistle.

From what I’ve been able to gather, this sounds like a fairly large loss for the organisation.

The money or the CEO? Was just chatting to my neighbour - he’s been with Aus Post for 22 years - you couldn’t get the smile off his face, so guessing not the latter.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Imagine the grins on Qantas staff if the Irish Git got the shove or resigned.
