I ordered some mounting screws for a computer on the 8th of August from China. Being China I allowed for some travel time. Going by the online tracking they where cleared from customs in Australia on the 1st of September and it has taken 19 days to get to the Australian post Dandenong South distribution center. So I am still waiting for them to arrive. I would be some one who would think that, even given the restrictions in place, that Australia post could lift it`s game. I would like to think that if that small parcel landed at any city in Australia it should not take 19 days to get some where near me. Will be interesting to see how long it takes to get from Dandenong South to my place, a distance of about ten kilometers.
On another note. We have had notices left in the letter box indicating that no one was home to receive and sign for a item. Given that the boss is just having a loooong break from employment ( do not mention retirement) and the covid restrictions. There has been some one home all the time along with our dog Carter the master farter who will let half the street know if some one is around.
