Is the boat you want to use in the water, or on a trailer? If on a trailer at a boat ramp I think that I would be looking at getting Mario into it before it goes in the water. Depending on what his wheelchair is, look at lifting that into the boat with him in it, rather than having the stress of getting him into a sling.
