Not exactly, they are still reporting on case numbers, what they are not reporting is the length of time people were infectious in the community. With Delta by the time you have symptoms you are very infectious so I agree that it is a pretty meaningless measure.
If you catch the virus unknowingly at a site that is not listed as an exposure site you are not going to know you have it until you develop symptoms. If the exposure site is known then you will be contacted and told to isolate as soon as the site is known at which time you will no longer be a risk to the community. It takes resources to add up this data that could better be spent on contact tracing and all contacts at a given site will have signed in so publicising the site is just a distraction.
Some info on the difference between Delta and the other variants regarding incubation time When should I be tested? How soon will I be contagious? Are things different with Delta? | MIT Medical

Yes would be great if all areas of the country get to 70-80% vaccination rates by Christmas.
We should be good to go by then. I keep my eye on this ABC article which is updated with the new vaccination numbers daily. The numbers are very interesting. The chart show when we should reach the targets based on the moving average for 2nd doses. This is only going to improve as time goes on so we should beat the dates below.

Great to see. We did 100++ and OT tomorrow to get 60 more 16-39 year olds in a rush done

I hit the roof before with AZ all used plus 1 today. A little bit extra in each 10 dose vial made one for a birthday girl who would other wise have came in October. She was happy to have her Doctor possibly less with my singing to her. She is <100 and more than 60

Now the whinge sorry - ordering - cannot change the orders. Cannot even see the bloody things. I call as two pending orders on for AZ 2nd dose and another for fizer needed after next week. Both I ordered 2 and 3 weeks ago. The online system shows me orders yet an OMG I stuffed up thought confirmed by two others looking at the CVAS orders was proven a error by ringing at 21.08 and chatting with a helpful Jack at CVAS who helpfully told me my order for AZ is next week and fizer the week after. He can see the real data my side doesn't show yet should

Mum has breast cancer confirmed- what a time to spend helping stick needles in other peoples arms. Any anti vaxer spreading slowly my ability to escape lock down and visit my family better hope I am in a better mode than I am now-Just joked they can go **** themselves.

The 'Australia' line at the top simply doesn't make sense, when 5 states don't reach 70% & 80% until after the Australia dates. ...Unless Australia doesn't include Vic, SA, WA, NSW & QLD.

An average simply doesn't work on this occasion.

Nearest Bunnings to me wouldn't let a tradie mate in without seeing his trade card AND a construction white card during the last lockdown in Vic. No families in sight apparently.

    cheers, DL

It's based on the moving average of all second doses given across Australia.

Similarly if you were to break down the moving average for any of the states individual age brackets, you would see that the older age brackets would reach the targets first and the younger ones last because of the staggered rollout. Put them all together and you have the single state number that falls in between.
    Cheers,

    Sean
