Just booked the kids (12&16 ) in for their Pfizer shots, at my long standing GPs. They sent me a text to advise availability. That's real professional care if you ask me.
    Cheers, Billy.

Aucklanders are doing it tougher than the rest of us. Hats off to them.

Cautious optimism is the term used by some epidemiologists yesterday and today in the media. I can feel it lurking in the back of the subconscious.

If you know your Chemist I would suggest asking quietly if you can be on their waiting list. The reception and counter are unlikely to be aware of the details yet. Please don’t ring them. Our phones are often overwhelmed on the topic and are needed to provide the services we all need normally.
Many chemist are also providing Astra Zeneca vaccines now.

We are a little overwhelmed at present with the addition of the 12 to 39 year olds two weeks ago.

Good news for you Inc. Second Dose Az is a breeze mate. Almost zero side effects regardless of the impact of the first one.

Ian your Javelin tosser needs a photo mate. I did just once- The Doctor asked me to do it to her honest. She never asked me again apparently as I held the injection like we might hold a dart

it wasn't that bad I felt One for the runners perhaps

If you are looking for volunteers for testing that gear J1, I have a neighbour who might be a very reluctant pin Cushion. That one even has the French national colours on the dart. How very convenient

How shut is it really? Watched the news tonight and saw people from either side of the border hugging each other over, and sharing picnics on, the border barricade.
Does the virus know it has to stop at the orange plastic barriers? WTF?

Edit: just to be clear, I meant getting on top of the spread of Delta and not the death, which is a tragedy.
remind me of a stalin quote which I shall butcher: One death is a tragedy, a million deaths a statistic.
