Yes, was in Dubbo today - masks everywhere; I don't recall seeing anyone without, but the odd nose sticking out. I showed my proof of vaccination and checkin at Supacheap, without being asked, but another bloke got called back to show his.
Yep, masks in shops in Yass, I was asked to prove my vaccination status at Supercheap in Goulburn on the weekend, no masks in the ACT unless on Public transport which I don't take. Confusing and as you say with pretty much identical vaccination rates maybe an indulgence of juristictions wanting to be better, or tougher, or prove that they are following the best medical advice.

In Qld, the attitude is [ from the small business Minister] people have the right not to get vaccinated, but they have no right to abuse others. To that end a package of measures to assist businesses cope , including short training courses on how to de-escalate aggressive and abusive behaviour, has been drawn up. The Police Commissioner has said she doesn't expect businesses to police the Covid rules, and any business copping abuse should ring the Police immediately . The penalties have been increased for abusive behaviour by customers in businesses bound by the public health directive, with fines up to $17, 785 or 6 months jail if it goes to court.

And the day after we were all cleared from that exposure my son got a ride back from the pub with a mate who it turns out has Covid. But my son's test came back negative, as did the other kids at the pub, so it looks like being double-vaxxed helped - and that's despite not wearing a mask in the car, which he probably should've. His mate had also tested negative the day before meeting at the pub, so he must've been infected just after doing the test.

If it isn't Covid it's summat else like the lack of Ad-Blue to bugger up deliveries. Starting to notice even Aldi shelf stocks are diminishing & they are supplied by Oz distributors in many cases.
WW ditto.
Can heavy vehicles be driven without Ad-Blue? Forget the regulations I'm thinking more, EMERGENCy use.
BUGGER! Answered my own question. Pretty grim then.
What happens if your car runs out of AdBlue? If you run out of AdBlue while you're driving, then the engine's power and performance will be reduced to 'limp home' mode to limit its emissions and once the engine has stopped, it won't re-start until the AdBlue tank is refilled.26 June 2018
So on Dec 13 the rules change for entry to Qld. And on the 17th the rules change for entry to Qld venues such as pubs, clubs, sporting events and other businesses.
But I am confused.
Every day from now, up to and including the 16th, the unvaxed can go to the pub.....but on the 17th they can't ......wtf......
What changes except the rules??? And why bother???

In news just breaking about 140 people who attended a party cruise on Sydney Harbour have been notified that five of their number have tested positive to Covid. Two of the cases have already been identified as probably Omicron, and results from the others are pending.......
After the famed Norwood school reunion that has seen a former premier, among others, infected, perhaps this highlights that taking the advantage of 'opening up' to have that long postponed party may not be the brightest idea.

In NSW banning the unvaccinated from participating at pubs etc was a pretty strong motivator for the "vaccine hesitant" to go and get jabbed. Nothing like not being let in the pub to get you motivated. Not so sure about the timing, maybe it would have been unpalatable to ban them from the pub when the border was closed.
