For those Parents and Grand Parents out there, " Safety, side effects allergies & doses, the COVID vaccine for 5 to 11 year olds." Hopefully this will put some minds at ease. For example, Australia has 2.3 million children aged 5 to 11. More than 5 million children 5-11 have had one dose, and more than 2 million have had a second dose in the USA. No cases of Myocarditis, or the related condition pericarditis, were reported in the clinical trials of 5-11 year olds. Questions answered in this article;

Why an 8 week interval?

who should be first in line?

If my child is about to turn 12, should I wait ?

How will the vaccine be administered ?

can my child with allergies still get the vaccine ?

When will children under 5 be vaccinated ?

I don't know about any one else, but it seems we owe a heartfelt thank you to the USA, for having the courage to carry out these trials on children.

Mean while in South Africa "The number of people in the hospital due to Covid-19 is, so far, a fraction of the total at the height of earlier infection waves. Covid-19 hospitalizations peaked at nearly 20,000 in January and July, the peaks of the country’s second and third waves respectively"

3rd dose role out for those who want them seem to be very helpful happily. A US study comparing Pfizer and Moderna was interesting plus. Link

Our Barnaby says he caught COVID in the UK, he indicated COVID safe practices were almost non existent, everyone living cheek to jowl . Suppose that's the disadvantage of a small island, and millions of people. The only good news is the apparent mild illness the Omicron variant is said to cause. The jury is out on the aged and immune compromised in that regard, but seems ok so far. Trying to think positive, all good so far.

Not rosy in the US yesterday.............

136k new cases, 1574 deaths (none in Florida the miracle state) and a bit over 10 mill active cases. Closing in on 820k dead, that's 200k up from August.

That is only just one example that springs into my head. Multiply that by however many Pubs, Clubs, Bars etc in the country & it is just asking for trouble, I thought everyone knew that from Day 1. Yeah ok I knew you did, don't get all titchy.


It seems to me it is a lifestyle thing which they were born with, plus bad, incompetent management from the off.
