Spent the morning trying to get my Double Covid Vaccination Certificate in line , got as far as entering expirer date on Medicare card & keeps telling me it incorrect even though all the other security checks were ok & could not go any further. Grrrrrrr , couple of phone calls & hours going through procedure on phone & still getting nowhere . Grrrrrrrr again , told I need to go to Centre Link, Grrrrrrr, Hung up & tried 1hr later & got mine. Now for my wife's , because we booth have same Email address & my mobile is only one listed with My Gov it will only bring up my account , so back on phone again to find out how to get hers , to be told she will have to get her own email address or go to Centrelink to sort it. My wife dose not use the internet & is not well enough to go into Centrelink or deal with them on the phone & when we tried to put Qld Covid app on her I phone it told us it was too old. One of her health care provider's told me she will need the certificate by the 17th or they will no longer treat her & My Gov will not let me talk to them on her behalf. Grrrrrr. So looks like I will have to get someone to look after my wife next week to go to Telstra to get her a new phone & an Email address which she will never use , then waist hours opening a my Gov account so I can take her for coffee a couple times a week & still use this health care provider. We booth got a card from the doctor with when we had our double Vaccinations & were told then that is all we needed , but they won't accept them.

That is all they will get from us, how can they argue the toss with an Original GP Certificate?

Not buying the latest phones because some lazy bastard can sit back & put his/her feet up & drink Coffee.

    As you said, Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

If you are with telstra you can log into your online telstra account and create a free second email address for the missus.

She doesn't have to check anything herself you can then log in using your current telstra username and password and check her emails yourself.

There may be something to the argument that Melbourne being less humid is a factor.

But Sydney's numbers did go down at this point, so why are we ticking along at 1100 a day?

My 92 year old mum who doesn't do technology has been OK with just the GP printout of her vaccinations. A little bit of aggro from some stupid shops a few weeks ago but no issues now. In NSW at least the piece of paper is just as good as a phone or the app for proving vaccination status.

    Organic vege shop

I walked into an organic vege shop near my place yesterday and as I was doing the QR code I noticed this sign saying "I have a valid exemption from wearing a mask". Bit of a puzzle - who has an exemption? As I walked in there was a larger version of the sign taped to the floor. I then saw the two staff - neither one was wearing a mask. Penny dropped - these two are apparently exempt.

Given that I'm asthmatic and have no issues with a mask and there was a bloke with cystic fibrosis on TV a couple of months ago who said he had no issues wearing a mask it's extremely unlikely that there's any medical condition that these two young and healthy looking people could have that would mean wearing a mask would affect their health.

I'd be talking to medicare direct. You can get a certificate for another person on your phone. Tell them your issue............. they'll work you through it.

I had massive problems getting the mobile medicare app to link with mygov so I rang them on the number specified on the web site to get a linking code.

Essentially the person on the other end is just trying to verify you and your wife's id's. They are VERY helpful.

You'll need to have both medi cards handy and driver's licenses. Maybe both IHI identifier numbers, which are on your vax certificates. Have them ready too.

I had birth cert number ready but didn't need it. You'll need a pen handy for the linking code as well.

3 minutes was all it took.

Spent hours trying to do it the other way............... just more ****ing crap from some ****wit with a uni degree.

    cheers, DL
