Yes, I agree and I think it has been going on for some time now and is set to get even worse I think as it becomes a part of the new normal... Sewage testing showing positive for a region over several tests but no positive PCR tests forthcoming at all is one example I can see right now in NZ - Gisborne region... is one such example as is also a situation in Stratford, Taranaki where positive sewage samples were found but it took a 3rd party to alert authorities to a sick family and even then they refused testing till one of them was hospitalised.

Third positive wastewater result means Covid likely to be in Gisborne | Stuff.co.nz

All of Stratford should be considered a 'location of interest' after positive Covid-19 cases - Taranaki DHB | RNZ News

I think it is no coincidence that these cases have jumped , at the same time NSW eased restrictions with unvaccinated people allowed to mingle with the fully jabbed at shops and hospitality venues for the first time in 3 months. QR code check ins have been scaled back and masks are no longer required. Proof of vaccination is no longer required in NSW, It's human nature that young impressionable people will take every advantage to cut loose if they think authorities have relaxed the rules, and it is becoming more obvious the rules may have been relaxed too much too soon .

Surely it would have been prudent to wait until more was known about Omicron? What is not so well known is the fact that you can be infected with both delta and Omicron at the same time. Also, you can be infected with the flu virus at the same time. If the elderly get the trifecta, well, the outcome is not good. Opening up too early was not the best from a health perspective.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I'm glad we agree that government sending the wrong message may encourage the more immature among us to take risks. This is a little different to sewage testing. Now its 2 young men who ignored isolation orders and went out to party.

Their next party attendance could be a Wake, or possibly not.

Just added a few hundred vax 1st, 2nd and lots of 3rds/boosters. A spare one was shoved in my arm and the Nurse got one as well.

Back to do a night shift as Night Persons, Night Club visit is an exposure site. She is tripple vaxed but still needs a PCR test before I letter her sit and risk the unvaccinated kids and at risk people who might come in.

The allegation is only 70% of the exposed were checked in at the Night Club and the very high probability many with no symptoms will not know to get a test and be walking around now in your faces and homes. The Mask off rulz are odd plus in some states who seem to hate us Mexicans for having a higher number of cases than them so a actively seeking to ramp up cases ???????

"Get vaccinated or get the virus " might need a little amendment? We know for a fact many vaccinated people did not know the had the virus. Get a booster/3rd dose and hopefully miss all the sharing!

I am set up for a Very Big Jan 2022. Orders in, Training to dophones nuts plus!

Off for a run before the night shift- My Left Arm is a little sore which is reassuring really. 10km here I come

According to the General there is no shortage. Because deliverers are getting paid less than before many are no longer providing vaccines. So if your usual cannot do it then change provider.

A thought which I know you wouldn't have considered. A 3,000km run would get you back in the early hours just in time to knock off for the day. Just think none of that Hurley Burley pushin' & shovin' Jobs a doddle.

No need to thank me, the pleasure is all mine.

There's a reason they send young men to war. I'm inclined to not blame the young men in this situation so much[ although they have no discipline at all, and are very selfish, me, me, me.] What are they supposed to think when those in charge keep saying " we are going back to normal". " We will live with COVID" Well guess what? They went back to normal. Partying with their mates. Stupid, irresponsible, immature, sounds like everyone on this forum when they were kids.
