Not good for the country, not good for WA and highlights the volatility of the WA economy with foundations based on just one industry. WA makes lots of money but as has been highlighted does not seem to flow back into the community with issues such as poor health infrastructure and surge capacity.

Instead of moaning about how much/less WA has helped the Australian economy how about telling us about how much the ACT has boosted the national coffers over the last few years

WA has never been 30/50% of GDP - now you are just making things up - on a good day it is only around 14/15%.

    I
Based on a iron price of around $220 a tonne - where it is now around $120 a tonne - Surplus in budget is around $5b but in reality based on ore price will be far, far, far less - so yes the budget is out of date and needs a mid year update.

    Had a weird experience today.
Went out looking for RAT test at Coles Kincumber, chemist and wife phoned discount chemist. (Central coast NSW.)
    NO RAT tests.
Thought we would go to Kincumber test centre as there were about 16-20 cars lined up. Thought You beauty. Got there and all the cars lined up were empty! It looks like people are ditching their second car there to "bar" a spot.

But how do they know when or if it opens? all the cars will block everyone else unless they know immediately when the station opens. This was at about 11AM and later passed by at 12 noon.

Wife range Gosford Hospital and they said yes come along , however they are half an hour away.

Reason was that wife had close contact message friend who tested positive and 86 year old visiting on next Monday even though no symptoms but had played golf and had coffee with friend who later found to be positive..

Luckily my daughter had a spare RAT test and my wife tested negative.

My wife is trying to arrange a booster for 86 year old but no chance for weeks. We booked for Sunday 9/1/2022 in early December and that was earliest.

    Regards PhilipA

Was booked in for my booster on the 18/1 but with things starting to go nuts, thought I'd look at bringing that forward - checked on line - appointments all over the place. Rolled up to the Sunshine mass vax centre and was in and out in no time today - only around 6 people there in total. 2 others from work nipped up after me and had the same thing - heaps of capacity.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Looks like WA now has now joined the Omicron club , seems to be Delta Variant from the Backpacker outbreak last week + Omicron from somewhere as found today , was always going to happen since things got out hand of elsewhere , even a pub in Broome is a Covid site after a Queensland man returned home infected . Stay safe all .

I enquired about my booster shot today and I can't get mine until 1/2/22
At least I can get it before the COV19 "Armageddon" on 5/2/22 when the WA government is going to open up to allow the great unwashed into the State bringing this filty disease with them.
