We have never had a RAT Test or any other for Covid for that matter & still ok. Have had Jabs 1-4 & may have #5 next month with our Flu Vax.

Maybe it is in our Jeans & being of good British Stock? We just practice personal Hygiene (especially mask wearing & hand washing) but now having writ this I'll probably come down with the Plague & a whole host of Lurgies.

So is Azithromycin, which incidentally is good (bad?) for a nasty pneumonia, Rhodococcus equi in horses. And donkeys. And mules. Also quite successful in humans when compared to 'traditional'. antibiotics such as augmentin - oft prescribed for ear infections.

I have the impression that the medical profession is still learning about COVID. It seems that more treatments are being found as a result of rigorous trials.

While it certainly seems that Azithromycin is another useful arrow in the quiver of treatments available, it is important to remember that like all treatments, there is the possibility of side effects. Some of those side effects sound quite serious.

Serious adverse effects include QT prolongation and torsades de pointes resulting in death.

The report takes several NEXT clicks, Enter Zero several times then a drop down box re any vaccines we DONT have expiring in the next few weeks. There is science and there is bureaucratic red tape

Moderna Bivalent BA.4—5 12 years+ only as at last it is a single dose vial and doesn't require adding saline to dilute it! The 6 and 10 dose vials required drawing up and dilution - We have a 2nd person Double Checking everything- The cost and time was huge.

There is a new Pfizer BA.4 in the report I made for stuff we don't have. While I am reporting it we cannot even order it! That is controlling red tape plus in my view!


A few flu cases just starting so counting every thing for last year and how many people with specific conditions and how many people over 65 and how many.............

This could be in grumpy old buggers

Of interest I could count number of people who go the FLU in 2022. None of them took the option to not get it

The state has recorded 8,905 more COVID-19 cases, up from 7,871 last week.
There are 834 cases in hospital, 13 of those are in intensive care.
There were 22 new deaths announced today.

Victoria

There have been another 3,960 COVID-19 cases, up from 3,319 last week.
There are 114 cases in hospital, with four of those in intensive care.
There were 29 new deaths announced today.

Northern Territory

The Northern Territory has recorded 164 new COVID-19 cases.
There are four cases in hospital.
No new deaths have been reported.

Queensland

There have been 3,049 new COVID-19 cases reported in Queensland this week.
There are 247 people in hospital with the virus, three of them in intensive care.
Queensland has reported 17 deaths this week.

Innit it bloomin' marvelous?

It seems only yesterday we were aghast at new cases of 10 or 20 + a few deaths. "We are doomed, doomed I tell you" seemed to be the feeling in the air. "The end is nigh" ****.

Today, we hardly give those figures a 2nd thought unless one is involved with Medical stuff, supply, research etc as are James 1 & 2 & others.

Have we simply become accustomed to these figures,(blas`e ??) as we were overloaded with new stuff each day/hour/minute?

It may be partly for the reasons you suggest, but it may also be because large numbers are tolerable, and even increasing numbers are acceptable as long as they are not increasing exponentially.

Exponential growth is what is truly terrifying. Even the possibility of exponential growth is more of a worry than the sort of numbers we see now.

I think media 'Headlines' and news banners, such as "Horrific Death Toll", "Man Survives Deadly Encounter with Massive, Great White Shark", which in fact was 4' in length (and would grow 3' every hour) and such, are partly to blame.

Every news story these days is so over-dramatised that it beggars belief.
Not to mention the political points scoring.

JT, of course the reports were all about the world being "Doomed"! There's not much to be gained from an objective, factual and educated report, apparently and the pollies can't use their "We're in this for the long haul to save all Queenslanders" rhetoric, if there's no real apocalypse.
