Reminds me of a gynecologist I once knew in Melbourne. He enjoyed a beer on the weekends.

If anyone who didn't know him asked him what he did for a living, his reply was always ........... "crack mechanic".
    Cheers .........

I used to tell the ladies - "I'm not a gynecologist, but I'll have a look at it for you!"

I knew a gynaecologist whose name was Dr Pickit Heaps.
Serious. I woulda changed my name, deadset.
Must admit he did a good job - we have three kids to prove it.

I studied medical science with a lady who went on to do medicine. Now Dr Heal. I still chuckle at that. I hope she kept her maiden name.

In my younger days I worked in a hotel, where a doc often frequented for a cleansing ale (an $80 Clare Valley riesling). One blustery winter night, he arrives, checks his jacket into the coat room behind the bar, and settles down for a bottle or two.
When it was time to leave, he asked for his jacket. Not being one to be intimately acquainted with his clothing, I asked what colour jacket I might look for. His reply: "It's Prada"

Talking of funny names, there used to be a Cardinal Sin in The Philippines - just didn't seem right.

When I was at uni years ago, one of the fish biologists was named Howard Gill.
I think that is called nominative determinism.
