    Exmoor Trim Contact

Hi, Have been trying to contact Exmoor Trim in UK via both eBay and their own website for a month or so but no response. Does anybody know whether they are still in business?

    Hello from Brisbane.

My own experience with trying to communicate with ExMoor is pretty much the same as yours - no or few responses despite many repeated attempts. Unfortunately, the responses in the few cases where they did were not particularly helpful.

Basically, and despite their website suggesting otherwise, ExMoor doesn’t want to deal directly with people from countries where they have appointed an “exclusive” agent. If you do get through then very likely you will be referred to an operation on the Gold Coast that apparently has that agency. Like it or not the price premium on using that agency is significant.

Having said that, it is possible to get ExMoor stuff from the UK at a bit of a saving if you do it directly through one of ExMoor’s UK agencies. Craddock's is one example.

    Cheers,

Years ago, I tried to contact Exmore's, was told they didn't want to deal with the public, (not sure if true) found it much easier to buy their product from Craddock's.

I've never had any communication problems with them TBH.. So don't know what all that is about.

Just a word to the wise though.. With a lot of things I order from the UK at the moment, the freight is actually equalling the cost of the items, especially so on seat bits, foam etc etc.

I dealt direct with their export manager some years ago when I purchased Dormobile seat covers.

I believe LandyBitz is the 'Exclusive' Agent for ExMoor in Aus.
Also, with all the postal Strikes in the UK at the moment, don't be in a hurry for Anything.

Most suppliers use freight companies rather than the postal system.
Just got a delivery from the UK within 3 days.

LandyBitz may well be the Australian agent but you could also buy via any of the UK suppliers. I doubt there would be any saving by buying locally and delivery time would probably be the same.

I had no problem dealing direct but it was a couple of years ago.
You could always phone them rather than trying via the website or Ebay.

Was a few years ago but calling them direct was the way to go back then - had no dramas ordering direct but that could have changed now. Failing that, personally I'd deal with a UK agent rather than the Australian Agent.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
