I've just sent a note off to the Diesel/Gas folks to see if the rebate scheme applies for this application.

Keep us posted trev cause i am keen to know aswell. Would be good. How much does the fuel consumption improve when the gas fumigation is run in diesels? matt

I've just sent an inquirey myself to Dieselgas HQ about the subsidy, i also asked if the installation of the tank inside the Disco, can be put elsewhere.

I was already researching systems on the net to suit the D2 V8 , the problem is that there are a couple of systems that are suitable but they are ex UK. There would be no problem in getting them to Aus. however they are not Australian compliant, so they couldn't be fitted. At present I haven't found an installer in W.A. who can fit a suitable/reliable system for the D2 as it has to be a -Multipoint Sequential gas injection system - injector per cylinder with a separate ECU that piggybacks off the main ECU to give identical performance as petrol in terms of driveability and emission control ( available in the UK of course).The one I am interested in is the Romano N Series. They are all the same as far as i know, no matter what vehicle $3500 approx

I was quoted by 'The Gas Man' here in Sydney $2500 + gst for an under car tank, and a small tank using the existing filler in the boot, over the phone a month ago, have now asked for a proper quote, interesting to see if it now shoots up, if not, I'll get it done as quick as posssible, $500 out of my pocket for a conversion?..have to do it..
