Well, who else is there? I have 6 sisters, and 3 brothers. One sister I haven't seen or spoken to in over twenty years and two brothers I haven't seen or spoken to in at least as long (maybe longer). The others I may see once a year, if that. I can't pick one nephew/niece from any other and I don't even know the names of most of them.

Why would I waste money on them?

Mum's dead, and I haven't seen dad since my son's funeral nearly 2 years ago (although that's my fault, I don't visit him).

Recently bought an Australian Concise Oxford - price $62, although buying it from a liquidator's sale I got it for half that.

Thanks, Ian. It's a pain not being able to lift anything with my left arm and to not be able to finish the painting of the house.

It could be worse - I could have retired before this happened and left all that unused sick leave behind. Retirement has been deferred for a while. ;)
