I would take the pump with float dis-assembled, back to the parts supplier,with a litre of fuel and a small dish, and on the counter, fill dish, place non-floating float in it, and say "refund please":)

I recently misplaced my laser level so I bought a new one today - same brand.

Two items this time.

Last year whilst in the USA, I bought a new 320Gb HDD for my laptop.

I recently fitted it and all went well. I haven't used this laptop much lately so I thought I'd install Ubuntu Linux under a dual boot scheme.

After installation, the laptop wouldn't boot. Ok, I thought, I'll start from scratch, reinstall Windows then Ubuntu.

Bugger. The drive has hard errors and won't format anymore. It's a dead 'un and it's had almost no use.

No. 2.

Yesterday we bought a suction cap support bar for the shower recess to give me some stability in the shower. I'm not the best after my shoulder operation.

I went to fit it last night. It's broken.

Ah, well. At least the shop replaced it immediately.

Window shopping must be torture for you.
