I have to go back to Stihl on Monday. The trimmer is missing bits. Also, I can't get the auto line feed to work.

Bought a filing cabinet last week. Got it home , dented at top l/h of drawer - dented drawer front second drawer up from bottom . Bottom drawer wouldn't shut all that easily. Went back to shop , complained, They said we'll give you $40.00 off. We said no thanks , we'll have one that's not dented . They said - we'll pick the old one up and deliver the new one in 2 days. 2 Days later nothing. Phoned up. They said the courier had lost it! (we are 40 minutes drive away from the shop). They eventually gave us $160.00 off and I stuck some WD on the bottom drawer runners and all OK. I can live with the dents. Put the phone down , knock at the door - its the replacement cabinet............... Mmmmmmmmmm.
    cheers,
    D

Ordered some diabetic supplies for my daughter 3 days ago, forgetting that all Aust mail etc for her was being diverted to her new address. Guess what? Aust post fouled up and sent it here. Lucky that because at the moment she is here and needed it.

Seems I'm following in your footsteps Ron, or maybe it's just one USA based motorcycle accessory store dumping their previous good quality.
I've spent many hundreds, probably more with them, on previous 'Wings and although the gear was never cheap, it was quality "Made in USA", kit.
Since acquiring the latest bike all the purchases have been cheap, crappy Chinese 'quality'. Chrome plated, stainless steel is rusting within three months; It's never seen rain.
Today I finally received an order that was dispatched 22/09/15 per Priority Mail International, a luggage rack and small antenna mount. The racks were advertised, seconds US$49, A grade US$89. I opted for the $89 jobbie but was delivered the second with the exact same twist declared for the second.
The antenna mount is actually a chrome plastic cover for the mount but that is probably my blue due to differing terminology.
My disappointment has not diminished for having a whinge.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

This sort of story always reminds me of an American bicycle I bought some years ago. There was a sticker on the chainstay what proudly proclaimed that the bike was 'Manufactured in the USA' - the joke was that the sticker was crooked and had a wrinkle in it

It was a lousy bike too and to this day, I've no time for Trek, despite their advertising.

A while back I bought some Rivers shoes for a wedding. Today I pout them on to go to my S-I-L's funeral.

When I stepped onto the gravel drive I felt the stones sticking to theshoes. I thought I must have had chewing gum on the shoes.

    I didn't.
