if it helps; roughly 50% of good I buy off Ebay either - don't turn up, don't work, break quickly, have parts missing, or are the wrong item.

Before anyone comments on buying off Ebay.....a large percentage of goods I pay significantly more for from bricks and mortar stores don't work, break quickly, have parts missing, or are the wrong item.

Ebay has the advantage of: a return system, feedback system (incentive to fix issues) and much cheaper.

I've had a shocking bad run of ordering the wrong stuff for the 109 since I bought it back in March 15. My learning curve has been vertical. I put it down to sheer idiocy (my own of course).
    cheers,

... Bought a kitchen (through the wall/window) exhaust fan on evilBay. No, I'm not telling how much/little I paid for it !
    But...
    - it was badly designed, badly put together with 'not the best' quality of materials, and poorly finished, none of which you'd pick up from the pictures.
Only give-away was the brand(?) name and country of manufacture...
    - And their noise figure of '37 dB' must use Very Enthusiastic decibels...

So I went onto the Pommy evilBay and stumped up 4x the above co$t for a modern "Xpelair" brand fan...to replace the "only 30 years old" automatic-shuttered Xpelair fan that's hinting at retirement...

New one doesn't have the shutters, - they don't seem to make them anymore.
    - And if you find a model WITH them... I do NOT want to be told !

All up, around 1/2 the (quoted) price of a 'Bricks & Mortar' sourced one.

Sorry for dredging up an old thread but I had to put this here..........

After having had a severe lightning flash 2 days ago the cordless phone burned out...typical of these cheap things. Just arrived home with a new system and guess what......NO POWER PACK FOR THE BASE!!!!!! Not enough emoticoms to fit how I feel. Back to the shop tomorrow. So much for quality control, if any. Jim

My 2 bobs worth on this, not a minor purchase............

    $43k tractor with a FEL.

    Just coming up for its 100hr free dealer service, notified probs are;

the bucket will drop 2" overnight with the engine (obviously) off.

blows a puff of blue smoke when given a squirt (couple of diesel mates say dodgy injector or two), it hasn't used any oil.

Dealer rep said today that those issues will be fixed.

Will let you know how it goes.

    DL (do I need luck?)
