The Vee Wee was like that.

If you didn't replace the insulated battery cover over the battery the seat springs shorted out the terminals when sat upon.

The rest is history & so probably was the car..
I had this happen to a chopper I had hired on Moreton Island. 2 families aboard and the back seat starts to get hot under my wife's bottom and cabin fills with smoke as the horsehair padding was smouldering.

Ripped out the back seat , ran to the surf and dunked it. Placed a disposable nappy over the battery and Bob's your uncle.

It was like they don't have a Data Base to refer to recent conversations & staff verbal intentions & you can spend hours on the phone being passed around to people "who can fix the problem" but when you are connected you find that they are as thick as pig **** & don't know what is going on nor can help & they pass you on to some other incompetent..

I'm talking Digital Meter Changeovers for Solar. If these people ran their own business instead of being propped up by a large monopoly they would go broke in a flash & it would serve them right.

Deep breaths 4bee, deep breaths. Ah that's better.
Often the operators don 't make a record of your call, so you have to ask for the operators name and then ask them to log a ticket to be sent to NBN or absolutely nothing happens.

But with AGL & it's Call Centre being in the Philippines it is bad enough trying to keep up with the conversation without asking names. Very occasionally you can hit on a person that understands what is going on & you can hold a reasonable conversation with them & I have found that the women are better than the blokes for this & you resist letting them off the hook until the matter is sorted Some accents are very difficult to comprehend & with them coming from all different areas you have the various dialects.
Not so in OZ I have found, as we all seem to understand each other pretty much.
