If you didn't replace the insulated battery cover over the battery the seat springs shorted out the terminals when sat upon.


The rest is history & so probably was the car..

I had this happen to a chopper I had hired on Moreton Island. 2 families aboard and the back seat starts to get hot under my wife's bottom and cabin fills with smoke as the horsehair padding was smouldering.

Ripped out the back seat , ran to the surf and dunked it. Placed a disposable nappy over the battery and Bob's your uncle.

I'm talking Digital Meter Changeovers for Solar. If these people ran their own business instead of being propped up by a large monopoly they would go broke in a flash & it would serve them right.

Often the operators don 't make a record of your call, so you have to ask for the operators name and then ask them to log a ticket to be sent to NBN or absolutely nothing happens.
