    Flamin' heck!

I bought a GMC battery powered multi-saw. The battery is faulty and it will only run the saw for a few minutes. I've tried cycling the battery. I guess it's a call to GMC on Monday.

    Gaaahhhh!

We ordered new vertical drapes from Kresta for the newly painted lounge room. I went with my wife and touched the stuff on display.

    Big mistake.

    I put them up yesterday.

The slats are too short on all windows.

One blind is too narrow for the window opening.

One is supposed to be centre bunching with a LH pull cord. It has a RH pull cord and the slats all move to the RH end.

Thank goodness the windows were measured up by a Kresta rep and not me otherwise Kresta probably wouldn't replace them!

Kresta came out, looked - and took 'em away to be replaced. It seems the bloke who measured them up has, umm, left the company - we weren't the only ones.

I saw a mob called A Man's Toyshop on the 'net and they had some good deals on clearance tools.

In particular, they had some really good prices on large Morse Taper drills, e.g., 1-1/8" drill reduced from $89 to $25. Excellent - my drill press and my lathe are both MT2.

    So, after calling them and checking the drills were MT2, I ordered (on 8th April) a 12-drill set 17/32" - 1" MT2 plus the 1-1/8" MT2 drill.

They arrived from Rocky today (28th April).

The 1-1/8" drill is MT3 and half the 12-drill set is MT2, the other half MT3.

    Gaahhhhhhhhh!

Surely, Shirley, I must be able to win one day.
