In particular, they had some really good prices on large Morse Taper drills, e.g., 1-1/8" drill reduced from $89 to $25. Excellent - my drill press and my lathe are both MT2.

    So, after calling them and checking the drills were MT2, I ordered (on 8th April) a 12-drill set 17/32" - 1" MT2 plus the 1-1/8" MT2 drill.

They arrived from Rocky today (28th April).

The 1-1/8" drill is MT3 and half the 12-drill set is MT2, the other half MT3.

    Gaahhhhhhhhh!

Surely, Shirley, I must be able to win one day.
    Ron,

I don't know how you manage it!

Mind you, wouldn't have worried me - I run MT3 (and have a selection of adapters to 2 and 1!)

Never mind - you're keeping this thread perking along - it'll eventually start looking starry!

If it makes you feel any better Ron I bought a ARB tyre gauge/deflator and the first one had a leak! I had to take it back and get another.

Other people get faulty stuff too. Just quietly I think it's the way of things these days.

Hey! I like it. I can deflate to whatever pressure I want, not just 18 psi

And it really is fast. You can drop from road pressures to 20psi in about 30 secs.

I've seen MT3 (Male) to MT2 (Female) but not the other way around.

My daughter bought me a lever action corkscrew (like this) for Christmas - not a cheapie, either.

The lever handle broke off yesterday. You can see where it has had (for quite a while) a fault line 2/3rd the way through the handle.

I've decided to bookmark this thread so I can find it more easily.

    Good news!

GMC posted out two batteries to replace the one faulty unit. Excellent service.
