Ron hears the back door slam & footsteps approaching in his general direction................ "Oh bugger! Now I've soiled me daks. Bloody Land Rovers!" as he tries to shut the binding shed door quickly, while trying to find the light switch to kill the lights.

It's not hidden, it's out of the way!

She has a key to the garage.

I'm waiting for her to notice it's gone from across the road - then I'll tell her.

Will 3.54 gears fit in a 4.7 carrier?

However, I'm not sure what I need until I empty the car out to check over the spares.
The flange that the ring gear mounts to on the centre is in a different spot. You can fit a 4.7 ring gear to a 3.54 centre with a spacer, but not vice versa.

    G'day P38arover

Yes Ron, the early 10 spline 3.54 diff. centre will fit straight in to the Series Axle Housings but you need 2 -or -remove the front drive shaft until you have the second diff centre

    cheers

Well there goes your reputation for bad luck. Congratulations Ron, for a freebie that looks great - everything seems to be there it just need some work to get it back into shape. Nice one!

And thanks to you Dave for the heads-up on a truck cab roof - and to Dinty for saving it for me.

Now to get to Cessnock to collect it.
