Must be irrefutable proof, probablly not just DNA alone.
Too many blleding hearts say no. Bet they do not say that when it is someone they know.
Anyone touches my kids they wont have to worry about the courts or government doing it.

Look at the moron in Perth that killed the little girl at the shopping centre. Enters a guilty plea and gets murder 7-14 years only, then we find out he has done similar at least 2 times before and maybe many others. DH will be out soon to do it again.
DPP to soft to take on these animals and get a decent conviction.

The cane would be a great tool for a lot of morons

Drink Drivers/unlicensed drivers should have cars crushed whether they are owners of cars or not

Not if it isn't their car, but the rest I agree with

Hoons and Road Ragers should have cars impounded first offence for 3 months then crushed for second offences
Hoons should have some where apropriate to go!!! idiots after that, then yes.

Rapists: Life behind bars and castration
    Murderers: Life behind bars
Armed Robbery and Assault :20 years no parole
    Common Assault: 5 years

You get the picture.... We don't need to lower ourselves to their level just create a federal prison in the middle of nowhere in central Australia and put all the lowlife doin' life behind bars in it.... They don't need a place with a view anyway cause they will never ever get out.

This seems to be one of the mindset of the currently emerging generation, or is this just an ongoing thing?

No dope at work & drug testing is a good thing but a bit of Gunja in your own time at home is fine.... it grows naturally, yet we manufacture alchohol & think it's fine??? go figure..
I know for a fact that if anyone EVER touched one of my kids they better pray the police DO get them, because I will personally torture them before handing them over. Those who don't agree should sit down & talk to people who have been molested. See what these filth of the earth do to children, the kids are NOT able to be healed.... NO ONE should ever hurt children & just go to goal for it. Lets see if even one person sticks up for them???? I bet not

Go the old school bible route I reckon, Rape the rapists, murder the murderers. an eye for an eye as it says!!!

I can't believe how god damned soft society is , "oh that poor man that stabbed that little girl 32times he must need our help & sympathy!?!" BULLSH!T he needs to be put down like a mangy dog!!!!!!!!!!!!
P!ss the civil libertarions off & get real.

In America there is a goal that works!!! It's private & the inmates learn FAST!!!

1, No food unless it has nutritional value
2, They all wear pink( boxers, socks, jocks, singlets, etc.)
3, No telly, Radios, or anything like that.
4, They live in tents on basic bedding.
5, They work in a CHAIN GANG to help society.
    6, No ciggies, NOTHING.
The warden tells them that if they don't like it, DON'T come back & he has less people re-offend than anywhere else.
    what a wonderful system.

Even if the death penalty was re introduced, I doubt any Judge would use it!

The legal system in Australia is pathetic and does nothing to prevent crime.

In Asia, the penalties are tough and would be criminals have second thoughts

    Cheers,
    Ron

Unless the owner had already reported or can prove it was stolen, then perhaps it should be be impounded. Otherwise, every time I want to drive unlicenced or drunk, I'll borrow my girlfriend's car, you won't damage her car (that's the reasoning that would otherwise occur).

In NSW second offence burnouts/street racing - the cars can be forfieted to the crown. As for the drunk drivers car, its a legal requirement to site the drivers licence of the person who you're lending the car to - each time they want to use it. In reality it's a bit impractical but it makes you think twice about handing over the keys..

While gaols are ok, if the evidence is overwhelming to 100percent, fry the bastards!, two trains of thought I belive in an eye for eye, my mums father was murdered in 57 he was a copper and shot point blank by a cocky while executing a court order, the mongrel did a few years using the old diminshed responsibilty clause, u cant reform some people, imagine giving someone like Ivan milat or Bevan von einam or martin bryant a second chance at life, no f _ _ _ _ _ g way! dont care what the left wing pole sitters say, why spend hundreds of thousands of dollars feeding and housing these bags of poo when the poor old familiy has a life of hell, anyone hurt one of my kids I would snipe the mongrel on the court steps

Ah no lets not talk about the health dollar, specially after todays events, I had to go for my weekly blood test for my INRs for warfaren, I was experiecning dizzyness, vomiting after eating and a headache for a week, so after the blood test I seen the quack after a 5 hour wait, this chinese quack was more intersted in getting me to sign the form so he could p me off and get the next sucker in, just think all the money they would save by not feeding and housing the oxygenstealers could be put into the health system. I have all the admiration in the world for the nurses they do a great job under some bull**** restraints imposed by a tight arsed govenment who is happy to some budding young hippy artist a 50,000 dollar grant to go and paint some more crap but wont give money to the hospitals, ah lets stick it to em I am in the mood for a good butt kickin tonite

I'm not sure. It's a bit close to home, but then...where's the line drawn that says murder or not. My brother's an idiot that killed someone. Accident's a great word, but it was his fault. He's gonna pay the consequences and be stuck somewhere for a while. I'm learning to live with that.

On that hand, putting some idiots away for good doesn't make them sorry at all. Serial offenders dont give a sh*t and just take up time and money. But when you can figure out who's the serial offender and who's not with 100% assurity then I suppose that you can impose the death penalty. Before that (no matter how overwhelming the evidence is) I think everyone deserves a chance. A year ago, I wouldn't have had that oppinion...(my how things change).

Sounds like when I was in PNG forty years ago and there was a murder trial in Maprik. On the second day of the trial it came to an abrupt end when, as the defendant was being led down the steps of the courthouse, hands shackled behind his back, with a policeman holding each arm, the chief prosecution witness took the law into his own hands using a carving knife he had up his sleeve. Of course, this meant that the process of "payback" went another step.
