Gee, I hope this attachment thingy works!
There has been a few amendments to the drawings Greg has attached above so if anyone wants to use them, you had better contact me first for final dimensions.

Sorry, got QuickCad and a recent 2004 Autocad but have not used either for from 7-10 years and would need refresher training. Last used Autocad2000 Student Version courtesy of my engineer son. Have recent unused pirate 2004 Autocad courtesy of my cinematographer son-in-law. Have draughtsmans tools but no board anymore.

guys we seem to have some CAD resource here and i for one am happy to help.. as stated earlier

looks like it could be a good thing if we draw up various parts etc and have a repository where we keep them.. us with CAD skills draw them, guys with FAB skills can get them made.. and other people can look at them..

i for one only use 3d (and create 2d from them) and formats are always a nightmare, but if we were to attach DXF's to the posts.. well everyone should be able to read them!

what do we think? although it may be unpopular... maybe it should be an area for subscribers only? may help inc get a few more dollars in to run the site...

    Thanks

    Steve

I would be keen on the rear quarter panel tanks and just have a valve to drain or tansfer to main tank so another fuel pump would not be required. At worst a small transfer pump. Could even use one side for water rather than fuel.
If someone comes up with a costing and definate plans I will be interested. Any one in WA that can fabricate these??
I was the same ARB costs or getting them from OS were cost prohibitive when jerry cans are cheap.

personally i would prefer PDF & DXF as laser cutting and punching could be done straight from the DXF..

thanks for the idea support guys... :O)

geez if you got to laser cutting, you could punch out the pieces out of sheet steel or aluminium or HDPE or stainless then wrap em in cardboard as a kit and ship the buggers anywhere to be welded up.
Depending on the material used, it could be a water tank or fuel...

logistics? a right pain in the preverbial, but I'm sure it would save on setup fees for the cutting...
